TEEN MOTHERS SUPPORT PROGRAM
This is a programme aimed at empowering teen mothers to thrive optimistically, make informed health decisions through psychosocial support, sexual and reproductive health and rights education. The program also looks at tackling inequality and improving the quality of life for women in marginalized rural and semi-urban communities by providing economic stability.
As in many countries around the world, women in rural communities of Uganda face a number of challenges: teenage pregnancy, gender based violence, discrimination, unequal rights, poverty, low social status, low literacy rates, limited access to education and greater risk of HIV/AIDS infection. We are helping young mothers from disadvantaged communities achieve a better quality of life by providing them with the tools to find sustainable solutions for their problems.
